it seems apparent to me, that since i was a very young child, i have been suffering from some type of progressive metabolic impairment. my early indications of this metabolic impairment (jittery-weakness-atypical hunger episodes-in retrospect, mild pre-hypoglycemic episodes) were very mild symptoms as compared to what i am currently experiencing. in addition to these symptoms, i also suffered from migraine headaches, motion sickness, had some social-cognitive difficulties, some auditory processing issues and some memory difficulties. i still have all the aforementioned conditions & symptoms, in addition to others but minus the migraines.
at some point i realized that my hypoglycemic episodes were becoming more severe, and this after having an accidental fall playing badminton in the autumn of 1997. with regards to the accidental fall, initially, i was misdiagnosed and treated for muscle spasms. in actuality, i was bleeding internally (left lung) for about a month and a half. once the internal bleeding was ascertained, there were many tests, 2 surgeries performed and i suspect, various pharmaceuticals used. subsequently, albeit years later, after some level of healing from that ordeal, i began to notice other symptoms, that over time, also seemed to be getting worst. these "new symptoms" manifested as gastrointestinal, circulatory, respiratory, neurological, energy depletion, exertion sensitivity, dental issues, musculature-skeletal & joint weakness and pain. the cognitive-psychological issues seemed to increase in variation & severity. i was experiencing sensory sensitivity-sensory over load anxiety, ptsd like anxiety and etc. (in retrospect, some of the anxiety was present & developing from childhood but was not recognized by me as such.)
i proceeded to research my symptoms and in the beginning, with much vigor. as time past, i realized that i was loosing more and more energy. the depletion of energy affected every aspect of my life; my vital metrics, my locomotion, individual muscle group's movements, cognition and as well as emotional stability. i began this research in 2009; it included viewing and joining support groups of people; who had similar symptoms and health experiences. these groups gave me the initial guidance & support that i needed. by trial and error processes, i began to learn what i could and could not tolerate with regards to food and fluid ingestion.
it seems that i am only able to tolerate protein and fat, at this time-apparently, i am not able to tolerate any foods with fructose/carbs. this might be due to the high probability that all plant and animal foods have some amount of fructose; however small in quantity. regardless of the per serving quantity, a certain ingested accumulation level of these foods (with this threshold level likely lessening) seem to be sufficient to put me in a dysfunctional state. i eat fatty pork chops, lean chicken tenders (poultry and beef fat results in acute and painful inflammation in just about all of my joints) and canned red salmon with the bones and water. so far, i am seemingly able to handle certain sea foods-perhaps those with virtually no carbs and minimal toxins (i.e. mercury).
as i am constantly having to endure hot flashes and profuse sweating episodes in the warmer months, i have to drink lots of water. as a result of the high water intake, i have to carefully balance this intake of water with my sodium levels; which present at the minimum reference range in blood serum. i have already experienced some severe effects of hyponatremia; which seemingly in the presence of fructose/carbs, is quite severe and painful. it is as if the fructose/carb metabolic effort throws my parasympathetic responses in chaos. my blood pressure goes up and i have very painful head swelling like pressure that tend to begin in the ocipital region and spread up and forward to eventually include the entire cranium. after some trial and error with water and salt ratios, it appears a sufficient balance has been reached. i brush my teeth with baking soda, hoping that helps to keep my sodium at a more homeostatic level. it is for these reasons that i suspect that i have a problem with fructose/carbs. however, the problem may only be with plant and animal foods; which naturally contain fructose or may get contaminated with trace amounts of fructose-there may not be a problem with other carbs?
another separate experience, i believe, supports that i have a problem metabolizing fructose/carbs. i had to be given an infusion of dextrose at my colonoscopy exam. my personal glucose meter reading at home indicated 38. sometime later, the tech's meter, at the colonoscopy clinic, read 23. (i'd drank the sweeten prep solution, even though i highly suspected it would cause a reaction-just wanted the whole ordeal over with...) the tech was a bit taken aback (i had driven to the clinic, walked to the office and was coherent). the tech told me that he had not ever seen someone with such low blood sugar be that coherent, let alone not be going into a coma state. i suspect it had something to do with the fact that a true hypoglycemic state is actually defined by how much sugar is in the tissues and liver and a person's ability to go into healthy ketosis. healthy ketosis is when the body begins to burn fat for fuel to produce sufficient glucose for the kreb cycle/electron chain transport system/the phosphorolation oxidation cycle. i didn't have an adverse reaction to the dextrose; which i understand is the same as glucose for all practical purposes. it seems, therefore, that i may be able to handle "straight" glucose. my problem may only be the process of breaking down/metabolizing the fructose and or all carbs into glucose and not the glucose itself. i'm wondering and thus considering trying glucose tablets/pure dextrose. i shall talk to my g.i. physician.
the culmination of my research, along with the nature of my symptoms have brought me to the precipice of food intolerance; celiac disease, lactose intolerance and allergies, fructose intolerance/sensitivity; hereditary fructose intolerance, carbohydrate metabolism disorders, asperger-autism spectrum symptoms, ptsd, anxiety, and mitochondria disease. in addition, there are 2 positive tested diagnoses; which i investigated as to their significant probability level of causation of the presentation of my symptoms. my personal experience and investigation suggest that such common positive test results have little to no significant causation factor for the presentation of my symptoms.
my limited and simple process of elimination and logic is based upon the demonstration of my overall blood labs. my blood-work labs are only in the abnormal ranges when im contaminated-have ostensibly ingested carbs/fructose. when im not so infected, i present as quite healthy. thus, the positive tests in question are either also only active in the presence of carbs/fructose; which still leaves me with a problem with carbs/fructose or such positive tests & whatever their relatively sublime effect, present independently of the presentation of my symptoms.
my research, my personal experiences, and the testimonies of other sufferers have provided me with general hypothesis. i suspect that the rise in sufferers of asperger-autism spectrum disorders, metabolic diseases, and mitochondria genetic disorders will correlate with the rise in human sugar consumption and with the establishment of the global sugar industry. i also suspect that, that correlation would also demonstrate a spike indicating when high corn fructose syrup was injected into the world's food supply.
i suggest that the over reaching commercial push to increase consumption of processed carbs and sugary foods, i concede, have made a relatively few very rich, monetarily speaking. but this short sighted, psychotic and ill advised decision making, is making all of us-worldwide-very very susceptible to severe chronic illnesses. the sugar industries and governments have implored many methods to accomplish this worldwide travesty. the governments and the sugar industries are continually increasing potency (breeding and genetically modifying foods-particularly fruit and corn, to be sweeter). at the production stage, they continually increase the quantity of sugar added to foods and drinks. in spite of scientific documentation citing the grave adverse health repercussions, they continually allow and market harmful synthetic sugar like substances. the introduction of & the increasing use of high fructose corn syrup, is contrary to good health as the scientific studies indicate. all of the aforementioned methods implored by the governments and the sugar industries have collectively resulted in crippling the human physiology; particularly with respect to natural immunity capacity, carbohydrate metabolism, gluten metabolism, neurological developmental processes and healthy mitochondria function.
i would liken the invasion of toxic levels of sugar and processed sugar/carbs into the human physiology, to that of a clandestine home intrusion by a known and seemingly nonthreatening person. in general and in the past, the human physiology was well equipped to defend against foreign-harmful attacks. generally speaking, the human immune system has had many weapons to identify and fight off foreign and toxic agents, whatever their nature.
but what if the invader is not immediately detected as being foreign or toxic? what if it took several generations for the human immune system to learn and adapt to this subversive invasion? what if it took several generations for the human immune system to be able to identify & come up with a suitable defense against an insidious & subversive invader? what if the increase in inheritable and spontaneous genetic metabolic mutations are due to the human immune system learning/adapting to the nature of the threat and has subsequently began targeting the most used nutrient of the human physiology? what if the human immune system, in the last 10-20 decades, has finally devised an effective plan to combat this ongoing assault from processed sugar/carbs and the incompatible quantity increase of all ingested sugar/carbs? more accurately, what if the human immune system is currently targeting aspects of the metabolic processes of carbs, fats and proteins into glucose? and what if this targeting to contain & eradicate the threat posed by the insidious impostors and the unhealthy quantities of all sugar is by whatever means necessary?
suppose the increase in processed sugar consumption, potency and overall quantity of sugar consumption has successfully forced the human immune system to attack essential aspects of the comprehensive human physiological system-at the genetic/dna level? what if the natural defense mechanism of the human physiology is doing what it was/is designed to do-to protect the individual from threats but more importantly and ultimately, to protect the human species from extinction? what other element would be able to so effectively trick the body/the cell into accepting it? what other substance could successfully caused fundamental mutations at the coding of nucleus and mitochondria dna-other than a sugar like substance?
for the purpose of this blog, genetic evolution shall be defined as that genetic change which generally supports sustainability and results in increasing complexity. conversely, genetic mutation shall be defined as that genetic change which generally compromises sustainability and results in reduction/entropy.
i suggest that the toxic levels of sugar into the human physiology, perhaps starting as far back as when honey bees were harvested for their honey and those so privileged were able to have as much as they desired; have resulted in genetic mutations affecting all biological systems, including psycho-social endocrine hormonal aspects that result into hormonal imbalances; which result into certain types of psychological psychosis and neurosis.
1. a mental disorder characterizedby symptoms, such as delusionsor hallucinations, that indicateimpaired contact with reality. 2.any severe form of mentaldisorder, as schizophrenia orparanoia.
and for the purpose of this blog, psychosis shall also indicate that state of mind, which removes/ignores self restraint mechanisms; which serve to keep the individual from acting in violent ways beyond the need of appropriate self defense.
i suggest that every generation has had psychotic behavior but perhaps the more modern psychosis is as a result of toxic levels of sugar (particularly since 1444-when processed sugar consumption began its world wide invasion) and ultimately causing mutations in the dna of mitochondria. i also suggest that this invasion of sugar has caused a disruption in atp production, quality and distribution. perhaps these net decreases in atp in the brain, gut and nervous system are the key to the comorbid tendencies of sufferers considered on the asperger-autism spectrum. it may also explain the tendencies of divergent skill abilities that many on the 'spectrum' exhibits and even those considered to be "savants". it should not be surprising that the gut has a comparable nerve network as that of the central nervous system. the two; the gut and cns, are well connected.
when those who rule have means to access even that which is harmful even to themselves; and do so without restraint, we are all likely to suffer, eventually. yes, i am suggesting a general correlation between the toxic level of sugar consumption to the general impaired decision making processes by modern rulers who encourage wars, technology over people, pharmaceutical over whole wellness & prevention of sickness and agri-corporate businesses; which do grave harm to the human food supply. these toxic decisions have placed millions in war zones, caused world- wide climate change and have reduced the once compatible food supply to incompatible food like toxic substances.
the world-wide obesity/metabolic disease pandemic in over developed and over developing industrialized societies, where toxic levels of sugar are readily consumed, clinical observation, ongoing scientific research on the effect that the current levels of sugar and processed carbs are having on the human physiology; metabolic diseases, cancer, and atp production, are all reasons to ban all toxic quantities of sugar consumption, ban high fructose corn syrup and ban the process of breeding sweeter foods.
after about a 14 years hiatus (approximately january 1998-december 2012) from utilizing conventional medical services, i went back after experiencing a transient stroke like episode. since that time, i have been seen by a g.i. physician, a muscular-skeletal specialist, a couple of psychiatrist, a clinical psychologist, a breast cancer specialist, an endocrinologist, a rheumatologist, an allergist, a clinical dietitian, and as well, an have had 2 consults with a metabolic chemical geneticist. i also hope to be able to discuss my symptoms with a neuro-psychologist. my symptoms' pattern, my research, my personal medical history, and my lab work all indicate and support my suspicions that there is an underlying issue with sugar metabolism and perhaps carbs in general.
as of april 27th two liver function tests results were improved. as far as i know, iv been virtually fructose-carb free since this past xmas-new years holiday season; except for incidental contamination. therefore, i had expected my liver function tests to improve. unfortunately, one of the tests did not improve. in fact, it was dramatically higher. i quietly, feared some such indication, as the chronic and muscle fatigue are currently worsening. however, i did not expect such a dramatic increase.
my g.i. doctor has a plan which includes referrals to their geneticists for the hereditary fructose intolerance test, he ordered a liver mri and he asked me to seriously consider a liver biopsy. if i go with the liver biopsy, then i want the tissue samples to also be available for the mitochondria gene panel tests. my insurance company informed me that they have a contingency plan for people with needed rare and not easily accessible medical services. even if the medical services is out of network; they may cover it. my insurance social worker is working on this for me. until then....
as i go forward, i shall update this blog as to my health status and healthcare.

since about 2016 feb, i've been eating only atlantic/canadian salmon & drinkng only san pelegrino minerl watr...thus far, there has been no adverse accumulation per ngestn, of anythng (seemngly fructose/carbs) resultng n th symptoms n questn...it is my undrstndng tht ths particular fsh, altho only avaiable as farmd raisd, metabolizs its carbs uniguely & prhaps completely...it seems tht there r no carbs tht my physiology has to break dwn-go thru th metabolc carbs pthways (th fructose metablc pthway & th othr carb metablc pthway)...thus, theorecticlly, there r no poisonous enzymatc substrates developng, accumultng & lingrng n my body- per ngestn...
th major change n my condtion has been tht, it seems, tht my metabolc problm wth fructose & or carbs, has become more severe n th sense tht just nhalng fumes of foods wth fructose/carbs & plant elemnts, is now just as potent as ingesting/eating such foods...ths was discoverd sometime at th beginng of 2016, i blieve...i've had to wear a swimmr's nose clip & mask wth 2 filtrs to limit th amount of "contaminatd air" tht im breathng n...it seems outside air n general, is less potent than nside air-as outside air seems to be more diluted than nside air, where there tends to b hghr concentrations of food and plant elemnts n th air......outside cool-cold air seems most beneficial of all, along wth rainy days....as a result of ths major change, my periods of relief from contamnatn r much shortr...i live wth othr ppl who must cook & to no fault of theirs, eat a variety of foods; whch happen to make me sick & relatvely disabled depending on th level of contaminatn...
